What is the best way for groups to get to Whistler from Vancouver Airport?
Whistler is located on Canada’s West Coast, approximately 2 hours north of Vancouver and 2.5-3 hours north of Vancouver International Airport (YVR). For groups of approximately 10-12, a private shuttle from YVR is usually the most economical way to get to Whistler. For larger groups, private coaches can be organised through the Whistler.com groups team.
Are there any discounts available for groups travelling to Whistler?
The Whistler.com Groups team works with accommodation, transportation and activity providers to offer special negotiated group rates. Please note that group discounts vary from partner to partner and are often dependant on the size of the group. Regardless, our groups team will ensure that you get the very best rate possible.
Is the PEAK 2 PEAK open for group sightseeing all year?
While the PEAK 2 PEAK Gondola is open most of year for winter and summer sightseeing, it closes for a brief period each year for scheduled maintenance. This scheduled maintenance usually occurs in Spring (late April through to late May) and in the Fall (early October to late November). Exact dates vary from year to year.
What is the best time of year for groups to visit Whistler?
There are ample activities and adventures on offer year round to make your Whistler trip a truly memorable and amazing experience. In winter, the mountains typically see peak skiing conditions from December - February. In summer, alpine hiking is available July through August (subject to snowmelt). Outside of the busy Summer and Winter months, groups can take advantage of lower accommodation prices and smaller crowds in the Spring (April/May/June) and Fall (September/October/November).
What is the miminum group number required to be eligible for group discounts/rates?
Generally there needs to be a minimum of 10 people in a group to be eligible for group discounts. Group discounts do vary amongst different accommodation, transportation and activity companies.
