My woman and I had the pleasure of visiting here a couple weeks ago and after a year of dating she said it's the best thing we've done so far. It's a truly spectacular experience for anyone and everyone that I can't recommend enough. My advice is to give yourself lots of time (3 hours at the very least) because there's just so much to see and do. The Underground Tour & The BOOM Show are the main shows but the site itself is just such a nice place to be with so much to appreciate. Plus the drive in from Vancouver is gorgeous.

Recently I paid a second visit to the museum, this time with my 6 year old grandson. We try to visit a museum every few months which he seems to enjoy. The Britannia museum was different, he was extremely enthusiastic, engaged with the underground tour guide. He found the underground and particularly the “boom” exciting. His reaction is particularly important to me as I spent my entire professional life exploring and mining throughout the world.
Our visit ended on a negative note as my question regarding potential copper resources was met with a diatribe against mining. I respect the guide’s right to an opinion but I object to using the captive audience at this mining museum to further her agenda.
I think more hands on, season appropriate activities for children would be a welcomed addition. We will come back when the weather warms up.

Awesome. Can't wait to go again with the my wife and two young boys. Worth every penny. Book as it sells out quickly. Just wished the ride inside the mine was longer. Derek, our guide was extremely knowledgeable and upbeat with excitement. The last show Boom, was awesome and emotional. Inside Mill 3 felt like a movie set, reminds of scene in Blade runner 2049. My boys loved panning gold in the troughs at the end. There for an hour. They were not disappointed. Next year 2021 for sure.

So glad we went out here today. I had no idea what to expect, wasn't even sure if we could go in due to covid etc. But I was pretty much blown away - this place is a world class museum. The train tour through the mine, the boom show, the exhibits....it was all really well done. Very impressive place and I highly recommend a visit out here.
