What Is Included
All equipment and a free shuttle (if required) are included in a tour package. This includes equipment such as life jackets, paddles and rain gear.

Pick Up Locations
Backroads picks up guests for tours at 9:30am, 10:30am, and for our Twilight Tours. Our pickup location for hotels in the Village are from the Whistler Visitor's Centre. Pickups are also available for Four Seasons Hotel and Fairmont Chateau Whistler guests.

We do not offer pickups for the upper Benchlands, ie) Aspens, Blackcomb Springs Suites etc as it is difficult for our shuttles and trailers to access these areas. For guests staying up the hill we request to meet them at the Visitor’s Centre.

Guests staying in hotels south of the Village such as Nita Lake Lodge, Legends, or Evolution can easily walk the short distance to our location at Lakeside Park.

We also do not pick up from private residences or Bed and Breakfast establishments.

Please note that Backroads requires 48 hours notice if guests wish to be picked up for their River of Golden Dreams tour.

Weather Policy
We are prepared for all kinds of weather. Backroads provides, free of charge, the waterproof jackets necessary to keep you dry and warm clothing to keep you toasty.

River of Golden Dreams Excursions:
Cancellations received within 72 hours of the tour departure time will be charged full fare.

All other bookings come with a new no-questions-asked cancellation promise, because we could all use a little more peace of mind right now. Cancel for any reason, even the morning of your departure, and we will rebook you for a later date or give you a full refund.

Full payment is taken at the time of booking.
