Oh, what a strange, roller coaster of a year it’s been, and while we’re going to take a walk down photo memory lane, reminiscing about some of the ups, we can’t help but acknowledge that there were also some downs. Feelings of fear and anxiety were felt globally, with worry and stress over the pandemic and climate change dominating the headlines. However, in Whistler, we want to trade you that state of worry, for one of freedom.

A powerful remedy for feelings of fear and anxiety is FUN and as simple as that sounds, it can take many forms. In Whistler, we know exactly how intoxicating a little bit of thrill and adventure can be, and the variety and diversity of fun that can be had here is what makes Whistler unique.

Whether you let out a whoop as you zoom down the longest zipline in North America, take a deep breath and tackle your first run in the Whistler Mountain Bike Park, say yes to that guided-ski tour into Whistler’s epic backcountry, or opt to have dinner under the stars in a see-through, snow globe, dining dome, these are just some of the ways that you can have fun in the mountains.

The photo galleries below are from visitors and locals who explored Whistler this year and gave us permission to share their images by tagging them #OnlyInWhistler on Instagram. We hope that they give you inspiration, optimism and hope as we head into 2022.
