Public Transit to Nita Lake
Take the #10, #20 or #25 BC Transit bus south to the first stop or third in Creekside, and walk approximately 5 minutes on the Valley Trail to the lake via the underpass, or past Nita Lake Lodge.
Alta Lake
A large lake that stretches between Creekside and the Village with several parks around its borders and plenty of room for watersports. View Alta Lake in Google Maps
Please note there is very limited parking at all parks on Alta Lake. Consider walking, biking, taking transit or using a hotel shuttle to visit the parks. Pack out what you pack in. Food items, recycling, drink containers and wrappers must be disposed of in a secure, wildlife-proof container. If bins are full, items must be taken with you when you leave the area. Lakeside Park
Lakeside Park is a beautiful beach park located on Lakeside Road on the shores of Alta Lake.

Rainbow Park
Rainbow Park is located on the west side of Whistler Valley. It's a pleasant 20-minute bike ride along the Valley Trail from the Village, just off Alta Lake Road. Rainbow Park has lots of space and was the site of the historical Rainbow Lodge built by Whistler pioneer
Myrtle Philip.

Free Rainbow Park Shuttle
The free Rainbow Park Shuttle is available on weekends and statutory holidays in the summer from June 29 to September 2, 2024. The route stops at Meadow Park off Camino Drive to provide access to the waterpark, Rainbow Lake Trailhead and Rainbow Park. Wayside Park
This smaller park is close to the Creekside neighbourhood of Whistler.

2024 Western Toad Update
June 2024: You may see tadpoles at Lost Lake Beach, please look and don’t touch. Naturally occurring salts and oils on human hands can be harmful to tadpoles. See more information on the toad migration and how you can help at whistler.ca.
Lost Lake Park is the breeding ground for Whistler's largest western toad population. Visitors can find thousands of western toad tadpoles congregating along the beach area in the warm, shallow water of Lost Lake. You can observe the tadpoles but please do not touch! Tadpoles are extremely sensitive and oils from our skin can harm them.
Each year, tens of thousands of tiny Western Toads migrate from the beach area in Lost Lake Park to the surrounding forest areas. These toadlets are smaller than the size of a dime, and their migration typically occurs between the end of July and end of August and takes two to four weeks.
Off-Leash Dog Area – Canine Cove

Public Transit to Lost Lake Park
Take the free Lost Lake Shuttle #8 to Lost Lake Park. Buses run daily from June 15 through Labour Day (September 2), 11 AM to 7 PM. For Park Shuttle times, days and stop locations, visit whistler.ca/parkshuttle.
Green Lake
