The Whistler Via Ferrata tour does not require special skills or previous mountaineering experience however a moderate level of fitness is recommended. (Tour duration: 4 hours) From $209 per person

Winter Ice Climbing Tours

Ice Climbing Experience (minimum 2 people) Try ice climbing with a professional guide right on Blackcomb Mountain! It’s a surprisingly easy activity that any fit person can enjoy. No climbing experience is needed. All climbing equipment is included. Participants MUST be able to confidently ski or snowboard intermediate (blue) runs to get to the climbing location. This is a full day activity. From $329 per person
Ice Climbing Private (up to 4 people) Private Ice Climbing tours are available for up to 4 people. Tours start a 8:30 AM and end approximately 3:30 PM. From $999 per group

Whistler Via Ferrata Tour

Feel the exhilaration of climbing to the top of Whistler Peak with the safety of a professional guide and specialized climbing equipment. Enjoy this unique half day adventure ascending a gorgeous route high above Whistler.

The Via Ferrata (or "Iron Way") is a unique and exciting way to climb Whistler Mountain, using an engineered vertical pathway with metal rung ladders and fixed cables for safety. Get ready for stunning mountain views, big skies and a huge sense of achievement when you reach the top.

Using a special lanyard system you will clip yourself onto the cable and climb the rock headwall using a series of ladder rungs that lead you to the summit of Whistler Peak.

The Whistler Via Ferrata tour does not require special skills or previous mountaineering experience however a moderate level of fitness is recommended. This tour takes up to 4 hours, the route covers roughly 4 km (2.5 miles) of mountain terrain and 260 meters (850 feet) of elevation gain.

Ice Climbing Tours

Climbing is still available in Whistler when snow turns the mountains into a winter wonderland. Learn the skills needed for climbing ice formations and progress to longer, more technical climbs with expert local ice climbing guides. Ice climbing locations are found from Whistler to Lillooet.

In this tour, first time climbers will be introduced to the basic climbing techniques and safety practices before giving it a go. More experienced climbers will be guided up the finest ice climbs matching their ability. There are a variety of pure ice and mixed climbing spots in the Whistler area for you to enjoy. No climbing experience necessary. All equipment is included. Transportation is not included but can be arranged.

Outdoor Rock Climbing Tours in Whistler and Squamish

The Sea to Sky Corridor from Squamish to Whistler is famous for rock climbing and bouldering. Those new to the sport can learn to climb and rappel with expert instructors while more experienced climbers can book a guide to take them to more technical terrain.
