Electric Bicycles

E-bikes are equipped with a battery pack and motor for assistance with pedaling. The extra power means you can pedal further and see more in any given day.

E-Biking Adventures in Whistler

E-bikes are a popular way to see the Village and explore the Valley Trail network - they're also an excellent replacement for a vehicle should you decide to leave the car at home on vacation. Ideas for e-bike outings include:

  • Exploring the entire Valley Trail network
  • Visiting Whistler's lakes, beaches and parks
  • Pick up supplies at the Whistler Farmers' Market then heading to a park for a picnic
  • Check out the patios, cafes and shops in Creekside and Function Junction

E-Biking Etiquette

E-bike users must be extra considerate when using public trails as they are capable of going faster than a normal bike. Whistler's Valley Trail Network and surrounding trails are popular with users of all kinds, and high speeds increase the risk of incidents. Please keep speeds to a gentle cruise on multi-use trails, be mindful of trail etiquette and obey road rules if cycling on the road.

E-Bikes on Cross Country Trails and Singletrack

Class 1 e-bikes are permitted on most of our off-road trails (the exceptions being Mount Sproatt and Rainbow Mountain alpine trails and the Emerald Forest Conservation Area). This evolving policy is managed by the Resort Municipality of Whistler. See their complete E-bike policy.

E-bikes are not permitted in the Whistler Bike Park.
