Lift Ticket FAQs

Can I purchase lift tickets at the window this season?

Yes, you can purchase same-day lift tickets online or at the resort ticket window, but there is a chance the resort could be sold out. For the biggest savings, purchase online, at least 7 days in advance of your visit.

Do lift tickets sell out?

To ensure the best on-mountain experience for our guests this winter, we are limiting lift tickets every day throughout the 2024/25 season. While we do not anticipate every day will sell out, we encourage guests who are planning to visit this season to secure their lift access in advance. Lift ticket availability is visible on Whistler Blackcomb's winter lift ticket web pages. If lift tickets are sold out on a specific day, that day will show as unavailable.

Do I need to make a reservation when I purchase a lift ticket?

No, when you purchase your lift ticket, it is for a specific resort and specific date, and therefore there is no need to make any further reservation.

I am planning a trip this winter, do I have to purchase lift tickets first?

We expect lift tickets will sell out on select days throughout the season. If you have not secured your lift tickets before visiting, there is a chance you would be unable to ski during your trip. We strongly recommend that you secure your lift tickets as soon as possible to ensure you can ski your desired days.

Is my lift ticket refundable?

If your plans change, your lift ticket is refundable (terms apply). Any unused days on your lift ticket are fully refundable until 5 PM PST on the last day of your ticket. For example, if you buy a ticket dated February 1st-5th, you have until 5 PM PST on February 5th to request a refund for any unused days on your ticket.

Is my lift ticket transferrable?

No, lift tickets are non-transferrable. Lift tickets are only available for the ticketed guest name and for the date you purchased.

If lift tickets are sold out online for a specific day, can I purchase one at the ticket window?

No, if a specific day at a specific resort sells out online, lift tickets will not be sold at resort ticket windows unless purchased with a Pass Holder benefit ticket (Buddy tickets or Ski With A Friend tickets) or through ski and ride school. Availability will be updated online if there are any lift ticket cancellations.

Does the Epic Pass, Epic Local Pass and Epic Day Pass include cancellation coverage?

Is there a discount on lift tickets once I've used all days on my Epic Day Pass?

There are still options available to enjoy the mountain at a discounted rate if you run out of days on your Epic Day Pass. If you plan to ski or ride additional days, you can show your pass at the resort ticket window to purchase lift tickets at the Advanced Lift Ticket rate*. You can also use this benefit to purchase lift tickets at the resorts your Epic Day Pass has access to on holiday-restricted dates. Purchase your discounted lift tickets at the mountain; online purchases may not accurately reflect the discounted rates, and guests who purchase online may need to visit a ticket window to obtain a refund for additional savings.
