During the winter months, snow can be heavy on Highway 99. Please check weather conditions before you leave and be prepared. If renting a vehicle ask about all-wheel drive options for better handling in the snow. Better yet, hop on one of the many shuttle buses (either from the airport or downtown) and let someone else do the driving. Once you arrive in Whistler, you won’t need a car anyway. If you stay in the Village, everything is within walking distance, and many of the hotels offer a complimentary shuttle service to get you to the lifts. Whistler’s transit system makes frequent scheduled stops throughout the Whistler Valley from 5:30 a.m. to 3:00 a.m., 365 days a year. Call 1.800.WHISTLER (1.800.944.7853) for more information about the best transportation option for you.
